Fees & Forms

Licensing Related Forms

As September 18, 2023 Licensing fees will increase 5%. New licence or exam applications received as of September 18, 2023 will be charged the updated fee. For licence renewals, invoices will reflect the fee as of the date the invoice is issued.

Licence fees are used to cover the administration of the program, as well as provide funding for public awareness campaigns and enforcement against unlicensed contractors. This is just the second increase to licensing fees since 2006. It reflects the inflationary pressures and economic headwinds that ESA and many organizations are facing, as we continue to deliver on our important mandate.

ESA is committed to processing 80% of new complete Master Electrician and Electrical Contractor licence applications within 30 business days. Learn more about ESA's commitment here.
