Doing Business with ESA During the Canada Post Disruption

Mississauga, ON (November 15, 2024) – The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) is reminding stakeholders that they can continue to do business during a postal strike and ensure they meet their compliance obligations. This includes applications for inspection, LEC and ME licence renewals and payments.

ESA has several options for customers to meet their obligations and keep their account in good standing. Additionally, all correspondence (Certificates, Defect Notices, Invoices, etc.) can be obtained through the online system

A note about call wait times: Call volumes may be higher than normal during the mail disruption. Online, email and fax options will provide faster service and reduce call wait times.

Online Is Your Best Option

ESA strongly recommends that you have a valid email address on file with us. This allows us to email your correspondence including application confirmations, defect notices, certificates of inspection and connection authorizations.

Applications For Inspection & Notices of Defect Correction

Submit applications for inspection and notice of defect correction online to reduce call wait times.
