2021 Annual Licence Holders Meeting

Greetings from the Minister

On behalf of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, please accept my warm greetings as you kick off your annual licence holders' meeting. I also offer my very best wishes to everyone participating today.

My ministry and I commend the Electrical Safety Authority for your important work as Ontario's electrical safety stewards. We value your expertise and dedication to helping our construction industries weather the storm brought on by these challenging times. As a ministry, we recognize the importance to license, regulate and educate Ontario's electrical businesses and professionals — and applaud your efforts in maintaining the quality standards for which our province's electrical contracting industry is known.

To those electrical licence holders in attendance, thank you for the skill and reliability you bring to your work every day, which gives Ontarians confidence in their decision when hiring a licensed electrical contractor.
We look forward to continuing to collaborate with ESA to implement and uphold rules that help keep us all safe in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

Congratulations on your achievements during the past year. I hope your 2021 meeting is a great success!

The Honourable Ross Romano
Minister of Government and Consumer Services
