Nominate a leader in electrical safety who’s making a difference.

Each year, ESA celebrates the people and organizations helping to build a safer Ontario. By submitting a nomination, you’re recognizing those who lead by example — advancing electrical safety through innovation, collaboration and care.

Who Can Be Nominated?

You can nominate any individual or organization — including businesses, associations or government entities — that has made a meaningful contribution to electrical safety in Ontario.

Award Categories

Nominations are accepted in three categories:

Powerline Safety

Worker Safety

Consumer and Home Safety

Nomination Window

Nominations will be accepted between February 2-May 4, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Tips for a Strong Nomination

Be specific about the impact or outcome of the nominee’s work.

Include examples that show leadership, innovation or collaboration in action.

Keep responses concise — clarity counts.

Powerline Safety:

Entrants in this category should highlight initiative(s) focused on the prevention of electrical injuries and fatalities due to powerline contacts.

Worker Safety:

Entrants in this category should highlight initiative(s) focused on the prevention of serious electrical injuries and electrocutions on the job.

Consumer and Home Safety

Entrants in this category should highlight initiative(s) focused on the prevention of electrical injuries and fatalities at home and in the community.

4. Nomination Details:

* Tell us about the project, initiative or safety effort. What was the goal? Why was it needed? Who was impacted — workers, customers or the public? You may use bullet points or short paragraphs. Maximum 1,200 words.

* Describe the impact on electrical safety. How did the initiative make a measurable difference? Include results, feedback or examples that show its success — such as reduced incidents, improved awareness or innovations adopted across the sector. Metrics, testimonials or short case studies help bring results to life. Maximum 1,200 words.

* Why does this nominee deserve to win? Share what makes this initiative exceptional or unique, including leadership, collaboration, innovation or long-term safety impact.
