ESA-ISEAD Licensing & Training Grant

Supporting Indigenous Electricians on the Path to Becoming a Master Electrician and Licensed Electrical Contractor in Ontario

Advance Your Career. Lead in Your Community.

The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA), in partnership with Indigenous Skills, Employment, Apprenticeship, and Development (ISEAD), is offering a Licensing & Training Grant to support Indigenous journeyperson electricians in Ontario who are pursuing their Master Electrician (ME) licence. If you are interested in starting your own electrical contracting business, the grant can also assist with obtaining an Electrical Contractor (EC) licence.

Designed to remove financial and informational barriers to licensing, the grant also supports Indigenous entrepreneurship, economic development, and community leadership. Through guidance and helpful resources, the licensing pathway becomes clearer and easier to navigate.
